I'm sad...the end of the greatest summer ever is here. Blah. But on the other hand, I'm so happy because we seriously picked the right way to send her off!
Last night we (Cary, McKinley, my Mom and me)hit the Indianapolis Indians last home game with The Semmler Family and Robin's Mama. It was a great game and an even greater time with good friends. McKinley and Savannah are serious buddies and play so well together, they had a blast and so did we! There was singing, a little dancing, yummy chex-mix, ice cream, hot dogs, a couple of tatoos, a giant wheel ala Wheel-of-Fortune-Indians-style, a water-gun challenge, an awesome fireworks display that we were questionably close to, and near-illegal amounts of hill rolling and hopping until we were literally kicked out of the park.
After the game, the four of us headed back to the Haute. Our car ride home included a rousing rendition of 'Lollipop', as sung by my Mom, accompanied by Cary - who did the 'POP' with finger and cheek. McKinley and I just giggled all the while.
We had so much fun on our little jaunt to Indy with the Semmler's and are thankful for the sweet invitation. Good times!
Lynn
